Job description:

  • Assisting doctors in various surgical procedure
  • Prepare the operating room for all emergency and scheduled procedures
  • Keep principles of aseptic techniques in performing surgical scrub, setting instruments, gowning, gloving as needed for the procedure.
  • Monitor and report all vital signs of patient.
  • Administer oxygen therapy and suctions of secretions if required.
  • Report any untoward reactions of patient to the surgeon or anesthesiologist
  • Carry out all the doctors’ order and directions
  • OT Nurse has to act as circulating nurses, scrub nurses, and registered nurse first assistants
  • Preparing instruments, trolleys and sterile supplies.• Assisting in draping the patient.
  • Checking instrument kits, including counting and functional testing; maintaining an aseptic environment.
  • To direct and support others and maintain a high standard of care throughout the procedure
