Job description:
- Supervise and coordinate nursing activities during the night shift, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering teamwork and collaboration
- Assign and delegate nursing duties and responsibilities, considering the needs of patients and the skills and capabilities of the nursing team
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care delivery, ensuring compliance with patient care plans, protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Handle emergencies, crisis situations, and critical patient care issues, taking appropriate actions and making sound decisions
- Conduct rounds and assessments to evaluate patient conditions, address concerns, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to provide comprehensive patient care
- Act as a resource and provide guidance to nursing staff, assisting with complex patient cases, procedures, and medication administration
- Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development of nursing staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of patient care, incidents, and nursing activities
