Job description:

  • An OT (Operation Theater) staff nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operating room
  • This involves assessing patient needs, preparing patients for surgery, monitoring vital signs during surgery, and providing post-operative care
  • The OT staff nurse works closely with the surgical team, including the surgeon and anesthetist, to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and that procedures are performed safely and efficiently
  • Responsible for maintaining surgical equipment, managing inventory and supplies, and ensuring that the operating room is kept clean and sterile
