Job description:

  • Review and dispense prescriptions accurately as per physicians orders.
  • Ensure correct dosage, administration route, and duration of prescribed medications.
  • Monitor patient medication profiles for potential drug interactions, allergies, or contraindications.
  • Maintain stock of medications, conduct inventory checks, and ensure proper storage conditions.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication usage and possible side effects.
  • Collaborate with doctors and nurses for clarifications on prescriptions and treatment plans.
  • Prepare and label compounded or specialty medications when required.
  • Maintain records of narcotic and controlled drugs as per regulatory guidelines.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, quality standards, and infection control measures.
  • Stay updated on new drugs, treatment protocols, and pharmaceutical regulations.
