Associate Consultant - Neurology

Diagnose complex neurological conditions through detailed neurological examinations, physical assessments, and review of patient medical history.

Provide medical advice and counseling to patients regarding their neurological conditions and past medical history.

Order appropriate neurological investigations and interpret neuroimaging studies such as CT scans, MRI, and EEG reports.

Prescribe medications and develop comprehensive treatment plans for neurological disorders.

Deliver ongoing medical care and monitor patient progress throughout treatment.

Educate patients about nervous system disorders, including symptoms, risk factors, genetic components, and environmental influences.

Monitor and assess the side effects of medications and therapies, particularly their impact on behavior, cognition, and overall neurological function.

Provide expert consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with neurological disorders.

Manage conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headaches, multiple sclerosis, and other complex neurological conditions.

Interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests including EEG, EMG, NCV, MRI, and CT scans.

Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure evidence-based clinical management.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurosurgeons, intensivists, and rehabilitation specialists.

Provide emergency neurological care, including acute stroke management.

Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive care.

Manage stroke, epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, neuropathies, and dementia

OPD and IPD patient care, including emergency neurology support

Interpret neuroimaging and electrophysiological tests (EEG, EMG, NCV)

Coordinate care with neurosurgery, emergency, and critical care teams
