Job description:
- Ensure proper functioning of the section by maintaining proper coordination between all the processes including specimen collection, accessioning of the specimen, conducting the test and reporting on time.
- Preparation of manpower roaster in accordance with the requirements of the section/lab in consultation with Lab Head to ensure smooth running of the Lab.
- On-the-job training to scientific staff.
- Performing routine/ specialized test & identifying the problem specimens.
- Making decisions in assessing calibration, control and acceptability of analytical runs.
- Daily Review of the Q.C. results.
- Follow up for the PSNs to close the same.
- Ensure proper maintenance of material consumption, inventory management and no wastage.
- Ensure that Quality, Accuracy, Safety and TAT are maintained as per norms.
- Solving the technical problems of technical staff, addressing queries from CCG, Clinicians in regard to the tests.
- Supervising the functioning and maintenance of Instruments.
- Validation of new tests introduced.
- Coordination with Engineering, Materials & IT department for the requirements of the section/Lab.
- Raising of all Purchase requisition, Material requisition in the section/lab.
- Preparation of Monthly Consumption & work in progress reports.
- Maintaining & updating Cost /Test, WIP, Statistics.
- Critical call-outs to attending physician or staff.
- Monthly analysis of QC data, plan corrective & preventive actions for outliers.
- Monthly Stock verification activity to be conducted in a timely manner.
- Any other responsibility that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
