Job description:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection from patients of all age groups
- Identify and verify patients and ensure correct specimen labeling
- Collect and transport samples to the lab in a timely and safe manner
- Maintain infection control and safety protocols at all times
- Ensure accurate data entry and update patient records using lab software
- Provide compassionate care and assist in calming nervous or pediatric patients
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of phlebotomy tools and collection kits
- Travel to homes, clinics, or collection centers as needed using own vehicle
- Maintain stock of consumables (vials, needles, gloves, etc.) and report shortages
