Job description:

Provides leadership role for staff in performance of functions involved in the safe, efficient distribution of medications, in accordance with relevant laws, rules, regulations and standards of pharmaceutical care.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Current active home country registration.
  • Dubai Health Authority (DHA) License.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience working as a pharmacist, preferably in a hospital and/or clinic.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain rapport with patients.
  • Ability to communicate calmly and effectively when counselling patients.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills will be well-regarded.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to use ERP systems accurately and effectively.
  • Demonstrate understanding and practice of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate awareness of, and adherence to, quality standards.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate understanding of, and adherence to, processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work cohesively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage my own workload.

  • Ensure comprehensive patient care and maintenance of quality standards in Pharmacy
  • To maintain inventory level of the department.

  • To check nurse unit stock lists and maintain minimum stock.
  • To provide doctors with formulary.
  • To administrator of patients concerns, and recommends changes in policies and procedures.
  • To maintain appropriate departmental documentation.
  • To treat all communication about patients, staff, and other organizational business confidentially
  • To be involved in quality Assurance / Quality control activities.
  • To perform all the jobs as may be assigned due to exigencies of work.
