Ot Technician

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an OT technician or in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of operating theatre procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work well under pressure and respond to emergencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with medical equipment and technology used in operating theatres.

• Prepare and maintain operation theatre equipment and instruments before and after surgeries.

• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures by handling equipment and ensuring proper setup.

• Ensure cleanliness, sterilization, and smooth functioning of OT machines and surgical tools.

• To assist Consultants during surgeries. To assist doctor in starting I.V. drip., change gas cylinders etc.
• To ensure that anaesthesia trolley has all the instruments. Equipments, drugs, syringes etc.
• To guide during transfer of patient from OT table to trolley and to recovery room.
• To wash instruments, endotracheal tube etc. thoroughly as per instruction.
• To take universal precaution while handling soiled instruments
