Job description:
- 2 to 3 years experience of vacutainers blood collections - closed system colle collections.
- To receive IP or take OP samples in Sample Collection section.
- To check correctness of requisition form (Patient name and ID number) and bill with date and time along with the signature of the Doctor / Nurse.
- Prepare and reassure patient for sample collection.
- Prepare labels for tubes and slides if required.
- Receive/collect samples, following strict aseptic technique.
- Instruct patient on aseptic way of collection of samples for microbiology investigations.
- Ensure proper transportation of samples.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area.
- Ensure the temperature of room, refrigerator and incubator as per standard.
- Maintaining equipments as per protocol.
- Preparation of daily statistics.
- Complying with laboratory safety practices.
- Complying with Bio medical waste management practices.
