  • As a gastrointestinal (GI) surgeon, your primary focus would be on the surgical treatment of conditions affecting the digestive system, which includes the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder

  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including gastroenterologists, radiologists, oncologists, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care for patients
  • Monitor patients' post-operative progress and manage any complications that may arise
  • Participate in teaching and training medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Stay current with advancements in surgical techniques, technology, and medical research related to gastrointestinal surgery
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by medical regulatory bodies and maintain licensure and board certification
