Job description:

  • MBBS degree from a recognized institution
  • MD / DNB in Dermatology, Venereology Leprosy (DVL) preferred
  • Registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or relevant state medical council
  • Proven experience in clinical dermatology and dermatological procedures is a plus
  • Strong clinical knowledge of dermatology and related specialties
  • Proficient in dermatological procedures and modern treatment techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to patient care and ethical medical practice

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat various skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, infections, and skin cancers
  • Perform dermatological procedures including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, laser treatments, and cosmetic procedures
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans tailored to patient needs
  • Educate patients on skincare, prevention, and lifestyle modifications
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals for comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and training programs
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards

•   Attends Divisional meetings as invited 
•   Supports the reporting, investigation, and response to untoward incidents 
•   Assumes other administrative or clinical duties as requested by the Consultant Staff 
•   Under the supervision of the Consultant Physician, diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards of best practice for the post holder’s specialty. The Specialist’s clinical duties include but are not limited to the following: 
•   Assists the Consultant Physician in supervising the activities of junior medical staff, and jointly assumes responsibility for the care they provide 
•   Complies with all hospital polices regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow up practices 
•   Practices appropriate utilization of the organization’s resources 
•   Leads ward rounds; reassesses both inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis, in line with established best practice 
•   Accurately documents all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with established procedures 
•   Regularly reviews results of all investigations and modifies treatment as required 
•   Liaises with other medical specialties and support services for additional input as required
