Job description:

Teaching Medical Microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology, to undergraduate medical students within an integrated, competency-based curriculum.

Designing and facilitating practical and laboratory sessions, including culture techniques, antimicrobial sensitivity testing, molecular diagnostics, and infection control practices, ensuring relevance to clinical applications.

Leading problem-based learning, case discussions, and infection-related clinical correlations to strengthen students’ understanding of the role of microbiology in patient care.

Supervising and mentoring students in research projects, scholarly presentations, and publications in microbiology and related disciplines.

Conducting independent and collaborative research in medical microbiology, infectious diseases, or antimicrobial resistance, with dissemination in peer-reviewed journals.

Actively contributing to curriculum design, accreditation processes, and quality assurance initiatives, as well as participating in departmental, college, and university service activities.
