Job description:
To assess the babies/ Children on admission
To take detailed history and examine the patient
To be responsible for sending the patient for the appropriate investigation as directed by the primary consultant and also to authorize investigations, which are urgent.
He / She is to complete the In-Patient rounds everyday before 11:30 am, and fill the
case sheets and progress notes without fail
To be responsible for providing adequate treatment to the patient as advised
To check the dosage, frequency, route of administrations of all medications, considering all precautions
Key Responsibilities:
To continually monitor and review patient progress and adjust the management plan when necessary.
To take appropriate initiatives in Medical Emergencies when required.
To check all sick babies periodically and appraise the consultants
To assist in all major procedures that is lumbar puncture, bone marrow aspiration etc
To assist in the administration of surfactant and other major procedures.
To prepare the discharge summaries well in time and brief the patients about the medications on discharge.
To check the resuscitation kits and emergency carts for availability of all necessary Items
