Job description:

  • To assess the babies/ Children on admission 

  • To take detailed history and  examine the patient

  • To be responsible for sending the patient for the appropriate investigation as directed     by the primary consultant and also to authorize investigations, which are urgent.

  • He / She is to complete the In-Patient rounds everyday before 11:30 am, and fill the    

             case sheets and progress notes without fail

  • To be responsible for providing adequate treatment to the patient as advised

  • To check the dosage, frequency, route of administrations of all medications, considering all precautions

Key Responsibilities:

  • To continually monitor and review patient progress and adjust the management plan when necessary.

  • To take appropriate initiatives in Medical Emergencies when required.

  • To check all sick babies periodically and appraise the consultants

  • To assist in all major procedures that is lumbar puncture, bone marrow aspiration etc

  • To assist in the administration of surfactant and other major procedures.

  • To prepare the discharge summaries well in time and brief the patients about the medications on discharge.

  • To check the resuscitation kits and emergency carts for availability of all necessary Items

  • Exceptional analytical and research skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
